How much is a taxi to the airport?
It depends on the distance and the size of car you need, so we quote each journey rather than publish one figure that would be wrong for most people. Send the form above and a fixed price comes back within minutes. Each airport page also lists typical fares from the towns nearby.
How do I book a taxi with Whizz Cars?
Two ways. Use the quote form on this page, or call the booking line, which is answered 24 hours a day including bank holidays. Airport transfers are best booked ahead so we can assign the right vehicle; local journeys can usually be arranged the same day.
Can I pre-book a taxi for a specific time?
Yes, and for airport runs we recommend it. You can book weeks ahead or the night before. Your driver's name, car and registration are sent to you the evening before travel, along with a message when they arrive.
Which vehicle should I choose?
Count the luggage, not just the people. A saloon takes four passengers but only two large cases comfortably. Six passengers with full cases need an eight-seater rather than an MPV. Tell us both numbers on the form and we will recommend the right car.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track the flight number you give us and move the pick-up to match the actual landing time. You then get 45 minutes of free waiting, which covers most baggage halls. There is no delay charge and the quoted price does not change.
Do you cover long-distance journeys?
Yes — city to city, cruise ports, universities and hospitals anywhere in the UK. These are quoted as a single fixed fare with one driver for the whole journey, rather than a meter running for several hours.
